Northwest  Rain

Northwest Rain is a classic rain garden design and installation

that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. 

Drawing inspiration from Japanese style gardens and

integrating plants native to the Northwest, this North Portland

residence is quick to become a St. John’s gem!  Rain water

from the roof is cleverly funneled underground, spilling into a

rain garden of iris, rush, and blue eyed grass that is mulched

with blue-metallic Mexican pebbles.  This arrangement makes

for a welcoming entry garden that simultaneously reduces

stormwater runoff.
